I’m happy to announce my new endorsement with Bass Centre Elites Strings! Bass Centre have been at the forefront of the bass world for thirty years and I’m over the moon to be on board and benefiting from their experience and knowledge. I’m usually a nickel string player but I’m currently trying a few sets of their stainless steel “Stadium Series” on my Fender Jazz and they sound brilliant, I may be a convert to steel! I’ve got the “Detroit Flats” on my Precision bass and it’s given me that classic P bass sound. 😀 I’m also looking forward to trying out some of their new Danny Thompson signature double bass strings, I’ll put up a post or a video as soon as I get my hands on them, watch this space!
My stack of new strings comes at a good time as I’m off to The Dairy Studios tomorrow with fellow People’s String Foundation member and rhythm section partner in crime Harry Harding to record with the awesome singer and songwriter Clay. I’ve had the privilege of playing with Clay before on a couple of occasions and can’t wait to get in the studio and be a part of the recording. Have a butchers at some of Clay’s brilliant songs here.
Until next time,
